There are several instructors serving the Thames Valley Taekwon-Do area. Between them all there are over a hundred years experience in Taekwon-Do! Many of our instructors have been training for over 10 years and some for over 20!
Whilst pursuing a successful competitive career in badminton to international level until 1991, Master Whiteley was a comparative latecomer to Taekwon-Do. He started training in Reading with Master Cutler in 1984 before promotion to 1st Degree in 1988 following a memorable course instructed by Master Park Jung Tae.
Mister Pilkinton has been training for over 10 years and has recently achieved his 5th Degree under Grand Master Rhee Ki Ha 9th Dan. He is a regular instructor at Thames Valley Tae kwon-Do schools. Mister Maxwell began training in 1985 and has has recently achieved his 4th Degree under Grand Master Rhee Ki Ha 9th Dan. He regularly instructors at Thames Valley Tae kwon-Do schools and especially enjoys the fitness benefits and self defence aspects of Tae kwon-Do. Mr Maxwell enjoys leading and taking part in intense pad workout drills which improve power, speed, focus and overall stamina and fitness.
Mr Tee is responsible for training Friday classes and sometimes Monday sessions, he enjoys teaching and has a varied martial arts background, including Ninjitsu he has a great love for teaching self defence and application in a controlled environment
Mr MacDonald has a varied role at the thames valley tae kwon-do, he teaches our newly established KOREAN KICKBOXING session a Saturday morning and has a great passion and drive. He has also gained silver and gold medals at ITF british championships, previous martial arts background includes: Jujitsu,wing chun & Mauy Thai boxing...
