Thames Valley Taekwon-Do has been established for over 25 years and produced many World class Taekwon-Do exponents. The schools comprising the Thames Valley group pride themselves in maintaining a high level of quality of Taekwon-Do training and have always been part of the original Taekwon-Do association which pioneered Taekwon-Do in the UK (The UKTA). The head of the UKTA is Grand Master Rhee Ki Ha 9th, who is considered by the founder, General Choi, to be the best Taekwon-Do student.
The approach to training in Thames Valley Schools is to promote a friendly and hard working environment where you can develop your fitness, flexibility and all round martial arts skills. Our "family" consists of over a hundred students of all age groups from 5 years (Tigers) up to veteran (over 40yrs) level. There's definately no limits on fitness, flexibility or age when starting to learn this powerful and highly effective martial art. We appreciate the fact that not everyone is a "natural" at Taekwon-Do but encourage development and progress at the student own pace.
Our team of highly experienced instructors, which each possess their own unique talents and abilities, ensures that no two lessons are the same and that students benefit from the large array of technical abilities. The instructors are motivated to coach each and every individual student to guide you through to black belt and beyond.
One of our largest focus areas is developing the youger members of our schools. Through Taekwon-Do training we develop discipline and confidence to ensure your child learns the necessary life skills to become a more rounded individual. Taekwon-Do also promotes respect, self esteem, self control, co-ordination and stamina.
